How to Age a Photo

I learned an interesting way to make my photos look old and aged on canvas or other types of media.  I will take you through the step by step process.  The finished wall hanging, which this picture is featured on, will be posted by the end of the week.

Materials used for the wall hanging.

Photo printed on regular print paper.  If there is text be sure to mirror the photo.

After drilling holes for hanging, coat the top of the canvas with Mod Podge.

Lay the photo face down on the glue.

Use a scraper to smooth out the bubbles.

After letting it dry for several hours, take a bowl of water, dip your finger
in the water, and start slowly rubbing the back of the paper off.

This is a messy process and could take awhile but your picture will start to appear.

After rubbing off the white paper, let it dry.  This process may
take a couple of tries.  Make sure when you rub, you do it gently.
Afterwards, seal the photo with Mod Podge.
This will make the photo sharper.
