Years of Change

This shot was taken at an abandoned apartment complex in Miami, AZ.  My friend and I call the place the "Bee Apartments" because of the enormous bee hive hidden underneath the decaying boards of the porch ceiling.  We were surprised to see that after three years of the harsh weather and the place slowly falling apart, the bee hives had doubled in size and was still there.  Some day the rotting of the boards and weight of the hive will finally come crashing down on the boards below.

Here is the same shot, looking up in the exact location, three different years.

The Effects of Sunshine

Most of the days in Phoenix have bright sunny days.  Taking outside photos is tricky.  Sometimes the sun gives an interesting effect to the photos.  My friend refers to the sun reflection as "God shine".  I took these just recently at Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale.

Twice As Special Teaser

Sharon and I are putting together a children's book called, Twice As Special.  This is our first children's book.  Sharon wrote the fun and meaningful story and I am drawing all the characters.  This is my first attempt at drawing for a book and I am having fun.  I finished the three main characters.  I will also be creating the book cover as well.  We want the book ready and published sometime this month.
