The Brunswick bowling places, you can enjoy bowling as well as billiards, video games and much more.  It is a fun place for family and friends to just have a great time.

The company all started with John Brunswick who moved from Switzerland to the United States at 14 years of age.  He created the Cincinnati Carriage Making Company from a tiny workshop.  They fashioned carriages, cabinets, tables and chairs.  In 1845, they built the first billiards table for a meat packer.  Word spread like crazy and soon they were mass producing tables for many clients.  The company grew and became known as Brunswick Corporation.

The Madcap World of Tom Deadstuff

Tom and I at the Phoenix FearCon Halloween Ball

Looking at Tom Deadstuff’s creations, you may conclude that he is a brilliant artist, and a perplexing person with a delightful sense of humor.  His magnificent oddities are formed with discarded race tickets and other refurbished items.  Each sculpture is unique with a haunting beauty, especially the women’s faces.  The eyes are usually closed, the lips are full and some are without a nose but it doesn't distract from the loveliness of the figure.

Check out Tom’s Facebook page and Etsy shop:

I loved this piece and bought it.  She is now hanging on my wall where everyone who comes over can see her lingering beauty.

Along with the above wall hanging, I ended up buying this life-size Beetlejuice pinata.

My Fall Treats

Yum, hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows.
There are many things that I love to have in the fall when the weather cools off and during the holidays.  I love anything pumpkin such as a pumpkin spice latte.  Another thing that makes me think of the holidays is mint and chocolate.  Awe, the holidays where the smell of baked goods resonate throughout the house.  Yep, I love this time of year.

Melted white and milk chocolate with crushed candy canes on top.

Looking For Junk... decorate with.  An antique shop or mall is a great place along with junk shops, but for me, it is the excitement of the hunt.  My friend and I found an abandoned trailer park to do our hunting in.  We do have to watch for the elements such as snakes and scorpions in the summer or stray dogs that claimed the place for their own.  No matter what, we always find interesting stuff.
